MarEngr. Md. Humayun Kabir, graduated from Bangladesh Marine Academy, Chattogram (26th batch, 1991) has taken over the command of Bangladesh Marine Academy, Sylhet in August 2023. To speak of his academic background in a nutshell, He completed his S.S.C. in 1987 from Noakhali Zilla School & H.S.C. in 1989 form Noakhali Govt. College. Since 2010 he has been attached with & concentrating on Maritime education & Training after having had his long-earned experience with product & chemical tankers owned by a number of eminent companies all over the world. He came to an end with his prolonged sea career with ASP ship management pvt.ltd, based in Singapore & Australia with starling reputation.

In fact, at the close of glorious 17 years of sea career, He joined Bangladesh Marine Academy, Chattogram in 2011 as an instructor and was given the responsibility of the Head of Engineering department in 2018.

He has also completed his MSC degree in Environmental Science from Stamford University. In addition to that he was also involved with Mercantile Marine department as a ship surveyor for couple of years.

MarEngr. Md. Humayun Kabir, blessed with a son and a daughter, has had a strong sense of liking for contributing in motivational programs.
