Bachelor of Maritime Science (Nautical)
4 year Bachelor of Maritime Science in Nautical Science degree consists of three phases of education and training. The three phases are:
| First Phase | Pre-Sea Nautical Science | 24 months at Academy |
| Second Phase | On Board Training | 12 months sea-service with salary |
| Third Phase | Nautical Science | 12 months at Academy |
After completion of these three phases, cadets will receive their Bachelor degree from ‘Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University’.
Entry Requirements for BMS Nautical Science are as per Department of Shipping circular. However, Basic requirements are as follows:
- HSC with Mathematics & Physics
- Proficiency in speaking, Reading, Writing and Listening English
- Proficiency in computer operation
- Medical requirements and eyesight test
- Physical fitness
- Age limit is 21 years
